Being a younger sister, Marissa continuously looked up to her older sister Bethany. Viewing her as both a best friend and a strong, independent, and caring role model growing up, that admiration inevitably inspired Marissa to be just like her. And you guessed it; this inevitably resulted in Marissa copying everything she was doing, including stealing her clothes and hairstyles. Though this ‘stealing’ eventually turned into ‘borrowing’ as the sisters got older, Marissa’s admiration for her sister.
