Princeton University Community Flips Traditional Palestinian Maqluba in Solidarity Encampment #Palestine

in reply to Acta Populi

Student protesters at UCLA, in California, were attacked by pro-Israel groups from outside campus who attempted to clear away the encampment in support of Palestine.

Campus security pepper sprayed protesters to break up the clashes that broke out. Despite the organized attacks by outside groups, the encampment at UCLA continues to expand, with their central demand being that their university divest from Israeli apartheid.

Jonathon Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the largest pro-Israel group in the US, was among those organizing the attempts to clear away student protests in LA. He spoke at the rally next to the student encampment.

Elsewhere in the US, the number of student protests for Palestine continues to grow. At Northeastern University in Boston, over 100 students were arrested; at Arizona State University, 69 were arrested for “trespassing” at their own university.

At the University in St Louis, 80 were arrested, including Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.
