The Deir ez-Zor military airport, held by the democratic confederalism alliance Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF):
Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance rushing in to fill the vacuum after al-Assad's army (SAA) extremely irresponsibly just left Deir ez-Zor in what can only be assumed to be some kind of wish that the ISIL/Daesh sleeper-cells almost certainly still in the area would take the opportunity to do a major resurgence and grab it.
'Syrian Foreign Minister [...] denounced "regional and international interference" in his country'
lbcgroup.tv/news/middleeastnew…
Yes, such "interference" is of course only allowed when YOU occupied Lebanon and such.

And now the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) own video of when the Deir ez-Zor Military Council, which is part of the SDF alliance, expanded to secure the people after al-Assad's regime forces had abandoned the place.

As in other places the locals have their own autonomous military self-defense council, similar to the maybe more widely known Manbij Military Council and more.

"Since the [November 27] escalation of [Syria] hostilities, at least 370,000 men, women and children, boys and girls, have been displaced, including 100,000 who left their homes more than once. Most of the displaced are women and children"

They've been doing that near daily for many years, but now it is likely intended as preparation for SNA to conquer Manbij for Turkey to annex.
Regime pockets at Qamişlo and Hasakah including military airport and reportedly tanks and artillery were after negotiations abandoned to the SDF, with the regime's forces going towards Damascus.
And there was much rejoicing.

Update
The Al-Bab Military Council successfully repelled an attack by the Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries in the liberated eastern countryside of Al-Bab city.
At 12:00 PM on Saturday, the fighters of the Al-Bab Military Council thwarted an attempt attack by Turkish occupation-backed mercenaries in the villages of Jubb Makhzoum, Al-Hota, Jableh Al-Hamra, and Tal Taurine.
The attack was successfully thwarted, resulting in losses among the mercenaries, who were forced to retreat.

The rulers of the other countries in the region are worried that the populaces they oppress might see again that it is in fact possible to topple regimes, so they would very much prefer if Turkey's "jihadist" auxiliaries and the rebranded regional al-Qaeda go back to following orders again like good like tools now please?

The regimes who spent so much of their imperialist power projection at protecting their vassal al-Assad will probably have a lot of the people upset that after being forced to sacrifice so many and much to maintain that dictatorship, they got nothing but the losses, so it could in theory have positive effects in both primarily Russia and Iran too. Maybe.

Still, almost every video I see of their areas have people shooting into the air in "celebratory gunfire".

Both Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Chancellor Olaf Scholz made very fine statements about demanding inclusivity in Syria, how "all minorities must enjoy protection now", etc,
for which I believe they will do absolutely nothing at all now that Turkey and its auxiliary "jihadists" are attacking the pro-diversity secular Women's Revolution.

More likely is that they will continue arming the genocidal imperialist war of aggression Erdoğan-regime, because that's important for NATO to get to keep its air base.

It becomes much more difficult to be happy about the end of a dictatorship when it is immediately followed by the resumption of assault which is the continuation of several century old genocides.

Was that really your goal, "SNA" fighters, to overthrow Assad and then immediately go get killed for Turkey's imperialist genocidal ambitions at Manbij, to rob fellow Syrians of their freedom and their lives?
Several "SNA" died in that assault already (I won't share that media).

─────
The fighters of the Manbij and Al-Bab military councils continue to confront the attacks of Turkey's occupation mercenaries on the city of Manbij and its countryside, where dozens of mercenaries were killed and wounded.

In order to cover up their failure, pages affiliated with the mercenaries claimed that they had taken control of large areas of Manbij. This information is false, as our forces continue their missions with various military methods and approaches to protect the region and its people.

After the failure of the mercenaries, Turkey's occupation resorted to bombing areas in the city with warplanes, targeting service and administrative institutions.

By "components" in their established terminology they mean populace diversities like people of the many different ethnicities, religious associations, etc.

Curfew declared in in evening to 8 in morning for all cantons of the autonomous North and East Syria ("Rojava") due to the extremely difficult security situation, like major military assaults incl airstrikes and infiltration by Turkey and its proxy-warriors.
Unfortunately, that is reasonable.

Celebrations for overthrow of al-Assad put on hold because Erdoğan had more important priorities.

'[...] Syrian Observatory for Human Rights [SOHR] said it "documented, since the launch of the... (rebel) operation on November 27, 910 people killed." The toll includes 138 civilians, 380 Syrian troops and allied fighters, and 392 rebels'

ISIL/Daesh is probably very thankful to Israel for destroying very large quantities of military bases and equipment in Syria which could have been used to fight back the ISIL-resurgence that began already during SNA+HTS's advance.
Also very handy for all jingoist/imperialist/authoritarian/etc regimes and their supporters with ambitions in the region to keep the war and threat of ISIL or similar going as long as possible.
