The only people I've heard say that attacking the rich is done out of envy are people who are already wealthy/rich or who want to be rich/richer. When they say that attacking the rich is envy they are projecting their envy, it is they who covet the wealth. Projecting their desire for wealth with comments about those who attack the rich is a cover up.
