What cannot be done in a democracy has now become the new normal.

The narrative is as follows: The state of emergency is declared based on a computer model predicting large amounts of people dying caused by a deadly virus. This will only happen if people don’t follow the emergency guidelines given out by the governments. However, If people follow the instructions they will not die, which makes it hard to continually enforce the rules. If people don’t follow the instructions the predictions will come true, leading to large numbers of deaths. The situation escalates and will get out of hand.

In comes the propaganda. Propaganda keeps the fear high replacing the actual personal perception of each individual with a public narrative. Propaganda and censorship go hand in hand. Censorship keeps alternative information away from the public. Hospitals are part of this deception. Under the emergency, they get fully paid so they do not loose any benefits. The leadership of the hospitals are aware of the reason for doing so. Maintaining the deception of full hospitals and dying people avoids having full hospitals and deaths. The fear it causes makes people comply with the rules. It is a lie for the benefit of the people.

I am sure this strategy has been developed in good faith to deter a deadly virus. Democracy is slow and not able to react effectively and efficiently if time is the issue. By the time that a consensus is reached under democracy, we would already be in the worst case scenario.

It is often said that it was democracy that brought Hitler to power. He was chosen by the people and then he abandoned the democracy. The same can be said of the pandemic. It is within the rules of democracy that under "clear and present danger" special rules get activated abandoning the democracy. These rules are totalitarian in nature and include imprisonment, house arrest, separation of family members, forced vaccination, propaganda and censorship. Within these rules there is no clear path back to democracy. The new normal is here to stay.
