It supports various protocols and can therefore connect different networks. You can integrate any other services via an add-on system. Since Lemmy and Friendica support groups, we can natively join the threads and play along with them as if we were on Lemmy ourselves

I don't know if it's from the same developer, but I still have the Racoon for Lemmy app. It was sad to see them give up, I hope someone archived jthe community and the APKs. It was a good Lemmy app.

Depois de um tour de force pela história da decadência, Kraus debruça-se sobre o declínio das instituições constitucionais. Ainda vivemos numa democracia ou já estamos numa democracia? Esta última. A liberdade de expressão, garantia de uma democracia funcional, tem sido combatida nas últimas décadas, primeiro de forma gradual e depois de forma mais aberta. Estamos agora perante uma verdadeira caça a quem ainda se atreve a ter uma opinião independente ou uma opinião impopular entre as “elites”. É liderado por políticos do governo federal que, com a ajuda de plataformas de denúncia que brotam como cogumelos, fazem pesquisas na internet por declarações impopulares e depois apontam o Ministério Público aos “delinquentes”. Os políticos e as plataformas partilham o dinheiro ganho com os avisos. A denúncia como modelo de negócio. Ao mesmo tempo, os Ministérios Públicos, que estão inundados com este tipo de queixas, dificilmente conseguem concentrar-se nas suas tarefas reais.
O número de crimes terá atingido os 6 milhões em 2023, um aumento de 5,5 por cento. 923.269 destes suspeitos (41%) não possuem passaporte alemão (aumento de 17,8%). Os alemães com passaporte não estão incluídos, porque os cidadãos com dupla nacionalidade são contabilizados como suspeitos alemães. Existem 146 mil mandados de detenção pendentes em todo o país. Mas é claro que é mais seguro para os procuradores sancionar pais e mães solteiros por “crimes de difamação” do que enfrentar clãs criminosos.
A violência nas escolas é outro problema grave que continua a ser ignorado pelos políticos. De vez em quando há pedidos de ajuda, como a recente carta de despedimento de professores de uma escola de Berlim que se queixam de que as aulas já não são possíveis porque os alunos mal falam alemão e os professores têm de ter medo deles.
Paralelamente ao declínio das instituições constitucionais, estão a ser destruídas estruturas que oferecem às pessoas um refúgio seguro contra as exigências ditatoriais. Isto inclui a família em primeiro lugar. As crianças devem ser retiradas da influência dos pais o mais cedo possível e colocadas aos cuidados das autoridades estatais. Aqui são doutrinados o mais cedo possível. Até as crianças da creche podem ser visitadas por drag queens que as convencem de que não podem saber se são homens ou mulheres. De acordo com a devastadora “Lei da Igualdade”, os jovens inseguros com 14 anos ou mais podem ser submetidos a terapias ou operações hormonais de mudança de sexo sem o consentimento dos pais. Além disso, esta lei obriga os cidadãos a mentir ao não permitir que chamem homem biológico, sujeito a uma multa até 10.000 euros.
Isto só é possível porque a propaganda feita pelos políticos e pelos meios de comunicação social passou a fazer parte da vida quotidiana e assumiu como missão promover a ideologia “acordada” e a reeducação para se tornar uma “nova pessoa”. Tanto a propaganda constante como a reeducação eram características das ditaduras que acreditávamos ter ultrapassado no século XX. Mesmo aqueles que consideravam excessivamente optimistas o proclamado “fim da história” após as revoluções pacíficas de 1989/90 e o colapso do bloco comunista, não podiam imaginar tal regresso dos métodos totalitários e do pensamento correspondente.
O livro de Josef Kraus é um alerta para o perigo de um novo totalitarismo, desta vez “colorido”, que quer eliminar todas as diferenças em nome da diversidade. Quando se misturam as cores do arco-íris da bandeira acordada, sai um cinzento fosco. Quem fica em silêncio concorda. Se não quer isso e ainda precisa de argumentos e factos, não só deve ler o livro, como também deve garantir que é distribuído.
“Quem diz a verdade precisa de um cavalo rápido” diz um velho ditado chinês. Para nós é mais provável que sejamos um bom advogado – e isso custa dinheiro. A presidente da Câmara da CSU de Augsburg, Eva Weber, acaba de me denunciar porque me atrevi a criticar a sua administração. É mais do que apenas este caso. Trata-se do direito de criticar quem está no poder sem ser criminalizado.

De film was aardig. Deel een vond en vind ik geweldig, en ik had me er al op voorbereid dat deel twee toch wat zou tegenvallen.
Normaals, aardige film, ik denk dat ik 'm een 7 geef. Er had van mij wat meer verhaal in mogen zitten, en wellicht iets minder vechtscènes. De special effects waren hier en daar wat over the top. De baviaan waar onze protagonist tegen moet vechten, lijkt zo weggelopen uit I Am Legend, ik snap niet waarom.
@Fubaroque Misschien ben ik te voorzichtig met m'n gehoor, ik droeg in mijn jonge jaren bij vakantiebaantjes ook altijd braaf oor- en oogbescherming en stofmaskers als me dat zinvol leek. Op muziekfestivals loop ik ook vrijwel permanent met oordoppen rond.
Het verschilt mogelijk ook per bioscoop, maar ervaring heeft me geleerd dat het naar mijn smaak vaak te hard staat.

I tried Bluesky because of its growing popularity, and I'm confused about its supposedly decentralized nature. Yes, you can "own" your account with a custom domain, but everything else is centralized onto the one instance which is Bluesky - there's no federation or anything like that (?) so I don't see why people promote it as being anti-big corporation even though it may become that at this rate.
With Mastodon/ActivityPub, federated instances connect through the underlying software that they all share. Heck, you can even communicate with other software like Lemmy through the ActivityPub protocol. Sure, I guess you don't "own" your account/likes/etc, but I think it's way better than being locked in to solely one instance and not having the ability to switch if the one your using doesn't appeal to you in some way.
I'm sure I'm missing and/or an incorrect on some information about all this, so I'm really just hoping someone can explain it in a way that I understand.

That's my view on it as well. The service isn't set up to where people could operate a Bluesky like service without Bluesky right now. If that is the case, then Bluesky can easily close off interoperable parts one by one, just like Twitter did. Remember when Twitter allowed third party apps to access the service?

If I understand it correctly, it's "federated" in the sense that you can create similar infrastructure to Bluesky's using ATProto and have your posts show up there, but that reality seems pretty academic because not many people are doing that compared to Mastodon.
Personal data storage can be decentralized, although that's missing the social part of the social network.
Identities are set up through a centralized system that in theory they could change, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Relays supposedly can be decentralized, but need to handle all data on the network. So they require massive hosting costs that keep going up as more people use bluesky. Only large corporations can likely afford to run them, and that hasn't happened yet.

Although, it can't only be me that notices that #friendica requires a fairly fast #network connection to #work smoothly.
It's fine now I upgraded to GB #Broadband, but when I was still on copper, the lag was noticeable .
Outside that, I agree it has a lot to offer.
I try #raccoon though. I haven't really tried mobile apps for #friendica

Friendica does not pre-save very many things. It fetches many things at runtime. This places different demands on such a system.
