I had a working wireguard peer on my laptop, which I didn't want anymore, so I decided to uninstall wireguard. All was well until I restarted the laptop and now I can't access the internet anymore.
I think it's because of some config left over from wireguard, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
I would look at your interface configuration and your routing, ip addr show, netstat -nr and go from there. Also might check iptables, iptables -L -n and make sure there aren't any iptable rules blocking your access.
can show you how far your connection request gets (whether it's blocked by your pc, your router, or somewhere on the internet). You may have to install it first.
@anytimesoon @CameronDev It should be as both commands do more or less the same thing, the question is your default route correct and are there any other routes that might be misdirecting your data.
I'm not entirely sure which of the list is the default route is, but absolutely see my WiFi router on the list. Took a picture as recommended by @CameronDev
@anytimesoon The 192.168.1.0 route looks problematic since your default is within that you should not need that route and it may be causing issues. I would try deleting that route.
This is what mine looks like for contrast: 0.0.0.0 50.251.249.54 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 bridge0 50.251.249.48 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.248 U 0 0 0 bridge0 192.168.122.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 virbr0
In my case, 50.251.249.54 is my gateway and .48 my broadcast. I am static routed so no NAT.
@anytimesoon With that different router, now try a traceroute 1.1.1.1, if you get a response from the first hop, 192.168.1.1, then something is wrong with the NAT on the router or your cable service or fiber or whatever it is, is not working.
@anytimesoon I'm a bit at a loss then. I do have a Comcast router that is weird in that ARP only works at boot time so if I plug a new device into it, it won't route for that device unless I reboot it.
Did you remove wireguard the meta package or everything wireguard installed? I don't know Pop but other distros install additional tools and configs like wireguard-dkms.
Also, if possible, after completely purging every wg you could try booting into a previous kernel on your system to see if that changes anything.

it was all disabled for me. So now i i=enabled it and choose the option "Right alt never chooses the third level" and now it works. What actually is the third, second and fifth levels? And why is it enabled even if the entire setting to choose 3rd level key is disabled?
Anyway this solved my issue but still curious on what thoose levels in keyboard are
What keyboard layout are you using? It might be set as default there. Those extra levels change the keys on your keyboard to produce extra symbols, like shift+a produces A, shift3+a might produce å (as it does on my keyboard layout).
OOOOh so thats what it is for.. How could i see different levels and assigned keys?
Also I dont exactly know what keyboard layout i am using. It's my laptop's keyboard, with two hp specific keys, numpad, and no menu button or pause break button; if that helps
Yes, it depends on the layout. For example, I use the “English (Macintosh)” variant of the US layout. It has bindings for level 3 shift on all keys pretty much.
I also now set it to macintosh variant. But can I assign it to right shift instead of alt? I need the alt but there seems to be no option for using shift
It doesn't seem to be available as part of the standard modifiers. You can probably have it as part of a custom layout, but I have no idea about how to do that.
