That supposed chant seems to be referenced not from the footage in Amsterdam, but in Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. I've listened several times, but I can't make out those lyrics. I think the translator got it wrong.
And yes, when it is common for football fans to do something, then pointing out when one group does it is removing the context. You're right, I haven't watched the whole video, only parts, because I'm so disappointed in Owen's attitude.
You should read the article. It does not go easy on the Israeli football fans, but gives a better overall context.
