Well, you can go to a boutique shop in town and pay the equivalent of 300-400 bucks last I heard, @John Hummel. Used to be $150-200. But, yes, lots of competition amongst the Rez shops. I don't smoke pot when I have no idea where it comes from. If a friend has grown it is more like it. We can grow 4 legal -- or at least non-criminal -- plants in BC. I appreciate no longer being an outlaw. Lots of people thought they were going to get rich when pot was legalized but it's the same story as the Rez when it comes to the world of corporate pot.
I bought a carton of Mohawk cigarettes in a logging camp once. Cheap but really good cigarettes. Mohawks in Canada are well known in the outlaw trade. Nowadays, I vape BlacK Note Natural Tobacco e-juice from California. Way cheaper than smoking cigarettes and glad I quit several years ago.
NYC: standard is $300-$400/oz, both in the wild and in the dispensaries.
Not that I'm following closely since my music-biz life in the 80's, but I don't recall prices ever being anything near that cheap, since maybe the 70's ($40/oz). (USA)
