Turns out Australia is removing 3G support nationwide and that means I have to upgrade. I've had my phone for at least 4 years but it runs well, I wasn't planning on upgrading for at least another year.
I want to keep using it, but I'm not too tech oriented so my thinking has been, " I can play music with it, some games, videos"...And that's fine. But perhaps some of you guys have more creative ideas? Curious as to what would you recommend.

Running EndeavourOS and found a few games that have had some issues on linux, that I have found to be pretty much unfixable.
Unfortunately that would mean using a windows dualboot, and I really don't want windows on this laptop.
Would there be a way to run a windows VM with passing through the dgpu (AMD RX 6700m GPU), BUT able to use the dgpu when the VM is powered off? Unless I'm misunderstanding the guides, the gpu would be "locked" to the VM, and that would be unacceptable as I would mostly game on the host OS.
This is probably a given but the laptop does have integrated graphics as well (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H).
Any potential help would be appreciated, thanks!
This is possible! At least, I’ve seen it described in other people’s setups. Having the integrated GPU should help in this case.
If I remember correctly, you need to make sure the vm shuts down properly so that it shuts down the graphics card properly. Then you can unload the vfio-pci module and load the correct module for your card.
Two great resources are the subreddit (unfortunately) r/vfio and the arch wiki page: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF

So, to be clear: it's not a concept like Nomadic Identity. Rather, it's a demonstration of importing data archives from other social networks and platforms, and integrating that data into an existing Fediverse account.
In other words: it's not a singular managed identity for all your apps, it's a mechanism for marrying data from different systems to a Fediverse Actor. Paired with something like Nomadic Identity, it would be a game changer.

There are language packs for the desktop, the apps etc. I guess. I never did this, you could install them individually.
If they are not in the repositories, it will be harder but possible.
https://en.opensuse.org/Language_specific_installation
The openSUSE installer supports more than 50 different languages but only a few of them have their full localization on the media. To add additional localization to your system, you need to invoke software installation once you have online access.
To be fair, the ACAB group didn't choose a cop/prosecutor... A cop/prosecutor was non-consensually forced on us.
The back the blue crowd actively chose a felon though.
IMHO, forced seems a bit harsh. The co-elected incumbent VP is historically the backup when something goes down with the President and you’re outside of an election cycle.
The primaries already happened, there is no time to print ballots, stand up polling stations, and get the public to vote before the Ohio roll call to get a candidate on the ballot. This would probably be impossible even if Biden dropped out on that debate stage.
The party / delegates are basically forced to pick someone, and using the precedent of a the VP being the fallback, this is probably the most democratic option. She was elected with Biden in 2020.
Even if Biden dropped out before the primary, Kamala would have had an incredible advantage over all other candidates. She very likely would have been the nominee.
There are things to get upset about. The most likely alternative taking over is not one of them.
as a former cop
When was she a cop? Thought she was a (assistant ) district attorney and then AG.
To add to this, high level prosecutors need the backing of the police to do their job well. Cops are the ones on the streets making arrests, collecting evidence, and enforcing the laws. If they don’t like a district attorney, they can look the other way and make it difficult for them to do their job.
In my opinion one of the big reasons so many cops aren’t prosecuted in this country is the prosecutors don’t want to lose their political will with the cops.

Yes it does, regularly. Don’t know what that person is talking about acting like it somehow wouldn’t.
They update Cinnamon regularly, and the main release is updated when Debian has a new stable release. This makes sense, since it’s based on Debian instead of Ubuntu. LMDE 6 is less than a year old.
Yeah. Everyone should be clear that both Mint and LMDE follow about the same release spacing as their upstream, but offset by a couple of months. Mint's upstream is Ubuntu LTS, LMDE's is Debian. Both release about every two years. Mint and LMDE cannot possibly do major version updates faster than their upstream!
The point of these distros is stability and polish. If you want the absolute newest updates, mint/LMDE is not the right distro for you, and getting the newest updates inherently sacrifices some stability.

If you distribute the waste in a wide area, it makes it harder for someone to prove they were harmed.
So they're intentionally and knowingly hurting as many people as possible to spread it around
Because they won't pay for proper storage, or stop fracking.

Researchers use technique to quantify eyeball reflections that often reveal deepfake images.Ars Technica
Nice article! Thank you for sharing and definitely worth a read but a tldr for the lazy:
Their detection technique is based on a simple principle: A pair of eyes being illuminated by the same set of light sources will typically have a similarly shaped set of light reflections in each eyeball. Many AI-generated images created to date don't take eyeball reflections into account, so the simulated light reflections are often inconsistent between each eye.
Hi everyone. As the title says, I'm looking for a method to download manga on smartphone and then read it with a proper offline reader (any suggestion is appreciated).
Example: I've been reading comics (downloading them on the smartphone and then reading them with "Perfect Viewer" app) for years and I would start to read manga also with a similar solution.
I prefer to download them on the smartphone (and don't read it online) because I don't have always a decent Internet connection, and when I can access to that I use that to download as many comics I can.
Thanks in advance for all your help

I mainly recommend Universal Blue distros to newbies, like Bazzite or Aurora. The immutable nature more or less means users don't have to worry about performing maintenance of system apps like they might on some distros, mostly don't have to worry about dependencies, and are less likely to irreversibly break the system themselves or in an update.
That said, these distros are Fedora-based, and I think that's fine. No idea who out there is recommending Arch of all things.
Universal Blue is a diverse set of images using Fedora Atomic's OCI support as a delivery mechanism. That's nerdspeak for the ultimate Linux client!universal-blue.org
I will always recommend people to research their choice of distro. Use the right tool for the job.
What one person needs may differ from what another person needs. Take into account what the use case is for the machine you are using.
I use Arch BTW but I don't run Arch for any of my servers. I use Arch where it makes sense for me.
I wouldn't tell someone switching from Windows to just go balls to the wall and go for something blerding edge and arguably more maintenance or manual intervention needed.
I will give my suggestions but always implore them to research what theyt3 looking for.
So those people being cold and not talking to you?
That's how you came off to the people at your last job. Probably why they complained.
Then instead of focusing on the people who responded to you positively, you're using the people who acted like you as an excuse to go back to your previous behavior.
I think that your attitude to the situation might be stemming from some misanthropy from some past trauma or something, idk. This is something you might want to talk to a therapist about or at least think over and objectively assess yourself.
What type of socialization do you want? Do you actually want to talk to people and have positive experiences at the risk of negative ones, or would you want to be left alone and not take that risk, but instead take on the risk of people disliking you?
Personally, I'd suggest just talk to the people who are nice to you and get to know them and leave be the ones who want to be left alone.

The one crime I bring up is the biological warfare that the US wages opportunistically. The most prominently documented was the biological crimes during the war of subjugation of Korea [PDF], where the US dropped bombs with infected insects (plague, cholera, anthrax) on Chinese and Korean civilians and armymen. The report, issued by a multinational team of scientists, strongly supports this claim. The former members of Japanese Unit 731 is thought to be culpable in these warcrimes, although it's a separate report from 1981. The pages 61, conclusion, would be of interest, as well as some photos on 709. This report was released by IADL, which the US subsequently labeled as communist, and tried to sentence a journalist who widely publicized the facts presented with sedition, and dropped charges against him after 5 years.
You can also see another instance of biological warfare in the github link which talks about a manufactured Dengue Fever outbreak in Cuba in 1981.
